Dear Magrath,

I conclude that Murchison can give your Mr Christies designations & title more properly than I can do for I do not know them1[.] He is the first Mathematical Master at the Royal Military Academy at Woolwich and author of many papers in the Transactions of the Royal Society on Terrestrial Magnetism conducting powers &c &c &c[.] He is also I believe one of the Council of the Royal Society[.]
