Francis Baily to Faraday   10 June 1837

37 Tavistock Place | June 10, 1837

My dear Sir

Will you be good enough to apply to the Committee of the Royal Institution for the loan of that part of the Apparatus with which Mr. Cavendish made his experiments on the Density of the Earth1, & which I will endeavour to return in the same state in which I may receive it2. I do not apprehend that I shall keep it any great length of time.

Believe me truly yours | Francis Baily

Prof Faraday | &c &c
