Faraday to Hurst   9 February 18381

Royal Institution | 9 Feb 1838

Sir

I would attend to your request if I could but the very evident course is for Sir A Crichton2 to testify of his own knowledge. It would look but weak recommendation for me to say that you had [been] introduced to me by him when he can so much better speak for you[.]

I am Sir | Your Obedient Servant | M. Faraday

Mr Hurst

Unidentified.
Alexander Crichton (1763-1856, DNB). Physician.
