I am much gratified to learn, from our Friend Mr Bain1, the wish you have expressed to possess my autograph - I consider this request, a great mark of distinction, as coming from a Man whose Genius and industry, are successfully exerted to benefit mankind; and addressed to one whose humble efforts could at most afford them transient amusement.
