James South to Faraday   27 June 18381

My Dear Faraday,

There is an occultation of a star of the 4th Magnitude this Evening at 1/2 past 9 - and at 1/2 past 10 one of Jupiter ands his satellites.

The moon's dark limb will be visible if clouds do not interfere[.]

Finding you are at dinner I send you this up to your room - and will call here on my return from the Athenaeum which will be within the hour[.]

Yours very truly | J. South

Wednesday 1/2 past 2
