My dear Sir

Many thanks for your kind notes. I fear I cannot be with you on Thursday2 night for my absence from town has accumulated work here & I have a serious report to make immediately[.]

I hope that whosever hands' the Gymnotus falls he will be taken care of. I must come some day soon & see him[.]
