Faraday to Christian Friedrich Schoenbein   24 September 1839

Royal Institution | 24 Septr. 1839.

My dear Schonbein,

I leave town this afternoon for a week or ten days to join my wife at Hastings & least I should not see you again write this note as a remembrance. I have been pulled about a good deal or I should have looked after you but I expect you have been out of town until to day[.]

You left a number of the Bibliotheque Universelle here which I join with this note least any mistake should arise re‑specting it. I have read your paper carefully & the effects are certainly very remarkable[.]

If I do not see you again I wish you a most happy return to your family & the delight of finding them all in excellent health[.]

I shall send this note &c &c to Blackfriars road1 where I hope it will find you[.]

Remember me to Cooper[.]

Ever Dear Sir Your faithfull Servant | M. Faraday

Dr. Schonbein | &c &c &c
