George Biddell Airy to Faraday   1 June 1840

Royal Observatory Greenwich | 1840 June 1

My dear Sir

You do sometimes make an excursion to the East; pray let me persuade you to join our dinner-party on occasion of the Visitation of the Observatory on Saturday next, July [sic] 6. The dinner will be at he Crown and Sceptre at 1/2 past 5: but if you come to the Observatory at any time in the afternoon you will find several persons there with whom you are well acquainted.

I am my dear Sir | Yours very truly | G.B. Airy

Michael Faraday Esq | &c &c &c
