I have very unexpectedly received your elaborate work on crystallography2 and though from an attack in my head I dare not think of looking into it for some time yet hasten to acknowledge & return you my most sincere thanks for your kindness[.] It is very pleasant to see how greatly the literature of the departments of science is increasing in England[.]
