Faraday to John Murray   21 April 1842

Royal Institution | 21 April 1842

My dear Sir

Will you allow me to introduce my brother in law Mr. George Barnard to you. He was with us in our late trip to Switzerland; and in the pursuit of his profession as an Artist made many sketches & drawings which I think you would have pleasure in looking at & I know he would take great pleasure in shewing. I will not say more than that my consciousness of your good taste & judgment makes me anxious that the fruits of his exertions should obtain your approbation1[.]

Ever My dear Sir | Your Obliged Servant | M. Faraday

John Murray Esq | &c &c &c

These were published, though not by Murray, as Barnard (1843).
