My friend Mr. John Duff¹ the son of Mr John Duff of Dundee desires a Passport for himself and wife² to Corunna and finds that an application from some other person is needful. Any thing that I can say in reference to him or as applying for his Passport I shall be very happy to do and in ignorance of the proper forms hope this paper will be sufficient³[.]
