Faraday to James Pattison Cockburn   18 November 1843

Royal Institution | 18 Novr 1843.

My dear Sir,

If you refer to my report1 you will find the last long paragraph refers to zinc roofs. Every word there said held good with respect to iron roofs, and for the reasons there given. I think zinc, iron, copper or lead roofs, undesirable for powder houses or places where the possibility exists of Gunpowder Dust flying about.

Ever Dear Sir | very truly Yours | (signed) M. Farraday

Coll. Cockburn R.A | &c &c &c
