On returning to town yesterday evening I found the Coal trade report1 from Sir James Graham & beg to acknowledge its receipt with thanks2[.] I shall send it to Mr Lyell with your letter - but we had previously received copies from the Coal trade office and I will take the liberty of enclosing to you a copy of my acknowledgment to that body3[.]
