Faraday to James Nasmyth   15 July 1847

15 July 1847 | Newcastle upon Tyne

Thanks my dear Sir to you for your kind letter1. I read it here & have successfully made your experiment and I hope that some of your proposed applications of the coke dust will prove as decided in result as they seem likely in theory[.]

I have been looking a little at one of your piledrivers here2 - but cannot give much attention to any thing because of my heavy attack of giddiness - The same circumstance obliges me to be very short in letter writing - for which I know you will excuse me[.]

Ever Yours | M. Faraday

Jas Naysmith
