Thanks again & again for the Volume1 you have sent me and though unable in any fit manner to appreciate the work yet I hope you will allow me in full sincerity of heart to congratulate you, Lady Herschell2 - and science on the completion of such a labour[.] Already I see that there is a great deal in it that I can understand & enjoy and that it will long occupy my reading seat[.]
