I intended to be with you on tomorrow but ill health will prevent me from leaving this place so that I shall not be able to be with you at any of the hours specified2.

At this point (or at least by 21 February) Faraday was a member of the sub-section committee dealing with exhibits of the “Vegetable Kingdom”, ibid.,f.72.
