Royal Institution | 1 Mar 1851

Sir

I hasten to inform you that I do not take pupils nor am I in any way professional. I have not published any work on Electro-magnetism other than my papers in the Philosophical Transactions[.] Such of these as were collected some years ago into two volumes 8vo under the original title of Experimental Researches were published by Taylor of Red Lion Court Fleet Street1[.] I do not think they or the Transactions are out of print but do not know.

I am Sir | Your Obedient Servant | M. Faraday

Geo [name illegible] Esq | &c &c &c
