James Macomie (d.1874, age 66, GRO). A nephew in law of Faraday’s. Described as a bookbinder in the 1871 census, TNA RG10/856, f.85, p.23.
That is 29 December 1851. Faraday needed this for his second Christmas lecture on ‘Aggregation’ (delivered the following day) in the series ‘On Attractive Forces’. His notes for this are in RI MS F4 J12, f.6.
