Faraday to Frederick Augustus Abel1 2   10 May 1852

Royal Institution | 10 May 1852

My dear Sir

I hear that I have left at the R. M Academy some tubes of condensed gases. They belong to us[.] Could you do me the favour to have them packed up carefully in the box with tow or something else soft & safe & send them to me by carrier? They should be carefully handled[.] Mr Tozer my late assistant would do it all very properly.

I hope you feel yourself happy & comfortable in your arrangements at the Academy and have cause to be pleased with the change. I was ever very kindly received there and that portion of regret which one must ever feel in concluding a long engagement would be in some degree lessened with me by hearing that you had caused [sic] to be satisfied with your duties & their acceptance[.]

Ever My dear Sir | Very Truly Yours| M. Faraday
