Robert John Kane to Faraday   31 July 18521

51 Stephens Green | Dublin | 31 July 1852

My dear Dr Faraday

Your kind note and the parcel of memoirs2 have been sent to me here from Cork and I beg to return to you my most sincere acknowledgements for your kind remembrance.

I should have called to pay my respects to you lately when I was in London but that I was aware of how much your time is occupied and I did not like to disturb you. I hope that I may be able to attend the Belfast meeting3, but there are some official engagements which I cannot neglect but which may possibly interfere.

Believe me to be | My Dear Dr Faraday | Most Faithfully Yours | Robert Kane
