Faraday to Charles Manby   22 March 1853

22 Mar 1853 | 118 Kings road | Brighton

My dear Manby

I have not worked specially on the subject of the enclosed letter and therefore must decline to answer the enquiry[.] Indeed my memory is becoming so treacherous that I should not know without much search where to find the safest answer derived from the trials of others. I am sorry I cannot send you this note back in time as you wish1[.]

Ever Truly Yours | M. Faraday

This presumably refers to some unidentified piece of business connected with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
