My dear Lady Fox

I feel myself very much honored by the exchange of knives. I shall have to apply yours to very rough work:- My wife is not strong[.] She sends her kindest remembrances. In respect of your kind proposal for Monday1 I am afraid we must decline it for we both wish for rest & I have much work before me next week2[.] With Sincere thanks

I am Most truly Yours | M. Faraday

That is 1 May 1854.
