Je y a quelques jours j’ai eu la grande satisfaction de recevoir le diplome de membre de la Société Royale de Londres¹. Ne connaissant ni la personne ni le nom du secrétaire de la Société Royale, j’ose m’adresser à Vous, Monsieur, en vous priant, de vouloir bien être l’interprète de mes sentimens de gratitude et de réconnaissance auprès de l’illustre Société pour l’honneur distingué, qu’elle m’a daignée de faire.
