Will you excuse the liberty I take in writing to introduce a young friend of mine, Mr Monk2 of St John’s College, whom I have known during his three years residence at Cambridge, as an Undergraduate. Mr Monk, I believe, wishes to consult you about some point of chemical analysis, & I am sure that any information you may give him will be gratefully appreciated.

Believe me | Dear Sir | Yours very truly | J.C. Adams
