John Tyndall to Faraday   18 April 1855

18th April 1855 | [Royal Institution embossed letterhead]

My dear Mr Faraday

You can hardly estimate how I prize your gift1. My highest ambition at the present moment is to work until I shall be able to present you with a volume worthy of your acceptance. If the head holds out I hope to accomplish this - if not it will be my sweetest consolation to reflect that you have not thought me unworthy of your kindness[.]

Ever yours affectionately | John Tyndall

That is Faraday (1855d).
