Faraday to Edward Frankland   11 April 1856

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 11 April 1856

My dear Frankland

Three times have I been just on the point of starting waiting only for the post & three times have your letters caught me. This morning I have been to Mr. Beard1 in the city & I only hope the results may satisfy you as for me I never form a judgment in my own case. I have also received the Rose & think it excellent:- it will go into my book at once but I fear my inadvertent request has put you to some expence I only wish I knew what it was2[.]

Ever my dear Frankland | Yours most truly | M. Faraday
