Faraday to Jean-Baptiste-André Dumas   1 August 1856

Hotel Maurice | Friday

Dear & honored friend

I fear to disturb you too much by calling yet am anxious to know how I ought properly to present myself at the doors of the Academy des Sciences next Monday and at what hour?1 If you could tell me this by a line it would set me at rest.

On Saturday i.e. tomorrow we go to Fontainbleu for rest on the Dimanche & return Monday morning[.]

Your Very devoted | M. Faraday

Monsieur | Monsieur Dumas | &c &c &c

The meeting was on 4 August 1856. See Comptes Rendus,1856, 43: 271.
