Faraday to George Biddell Airy   18 May 1857

Monday Morning

My dear Mr Airy

I have this moment learnt that there will be the Magneto electric light this evening at 8 oclk & after - at the Trinity house wharf Blackwall - I cannot be there but if you can - and wish - and will ask for Professor Holmes you will be admitted to the Wharf & lighthouse. I should think the best plan would be to go across in a boat to the Trinity Wharf landing place. Captn. Poulter is the chief at the wharf & if you mention my name or your own to him you will have every attention[.]

In haste | Yours truly | M. Faraday
