Highgate, | 5 Sept. 1857.
My dear Tyndall,
I have hesitated in writing to you to acknowledge yours1, for I thought you were coming home quickly - at least so I understood Anderson; but I hope you will enjoy the quiet country, for I doubt whether Switzerland could be called quiet to you, occupied as you were. We shall be very glad to see you in due time, and then you and I will talk of the lectures and other things which you refer to. I do not feel as if my hand could write much distinctly, and indeed I doubt whether this will find you in Hampshire; but wherever and ever yours | Very truly, | M. Faraday
