John Tyndall to Faraday   19 March 1858

19th March 1858

My dear Mr. Faraday

The change recently made in the number of my lectures, and the manner in which it has been made1, are both so gratifying to me, that I feel very desirous to express to the Managers how highly I appreciate this proof of their confidence. Would you have the goodness to convey to them my warmest thanks for the consideration they have shewn me? I know not, of course, what the future may bring forth; but I cherish the hope that the alteration which has been made in such a kindly spirit, will eventually be found to harmonize both with the interests of the Institution [and] of Science2.

Believe me | dear Mr Faraday | most truly yours | John Tyndall
