My dear Sir

I presume you have heard from Messrs Chance appointing Thursday Evening1 for the trial of the Whitby Apparatus. I write you a few lines to say that a Committee of the Elder Brethren have been appointed to accompany you in the Examination, - they intend leaving for Birmingham by the1.50pm Train on Thursday and will meet you at Messrs Chances at any time you may appoint.
