I feel much obliged by your letter of the 11th, which by a few words has very materially aided my comprehension of your opinion on the “Force” of Gravity2.
I beg leave to send to you a copy of a note3 to my paper on the Conservation of Energy4, which the remarks in your letter have suggested, and which I propose to send to the Philosophical Magazine.
