My dear Sir,

The Deputy Master1 desires me to say that he received your note last night, and that he regrets you were not with him, as he considers there is more than “something” in the Light patented by Professor Way2, he wishes you would take an opportunity of visiting Welbeck Street, and seeing it in operation, and favor the Board with your opinion on it.

Believe me | My dear Sir | Yours very truly | P.H. Berthon

M. Faraday Esq

Robert Gordon.
