[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 19 Jany 1860

My dear George

I forgot yesterday to ask you whether you would find an increase of the loan convenient; but suppose as you said nothing about it you did not desire it. Now I send you a cheque for £5.- as a remembrance gift from us on sta[r]ting1[.] You will easily give it shape in any way which will remind you of our affectionate love & earnest wishes for your welfare & happiness: I speak jointly for your Aunt & myself[.]

Ever My dear George | Your Affectionate Uncle | M Faraday

Address: Geo. Buchanan Esq

Presumably for India.
