Referring to your Report of the 8th. February1 on the proposition made by the Universal Lime Light Company, in respect of a Trial of that Light in one of this Corporation’s Light Houses, - I am now directed to forward to you the accompanying Replies which the Company have given to the various enquiries suggested in your said Report2, and I am to request that you will favor the Corporation with any observations which you may deem it necessary to offer thereon.-
