Referring to your Report of the 19th Ultimo1 on the subject of the Proposition made by the Universal Lime Light Company in respect of a Trial of that Light in one of this Corporation’s Light Houses, - I am now directed to forward to you the accompanying Replies2 which the Company have given to the further enquiries suggested in your said Report, and I am to request that you will favor the Corporation with any observations which you may deem it necessary to offer thereon[.]
