George Richmond to Faraday   20 May 1860

10 York St | Port[man] Sq | May 20 1860

My dear Mr Faraday.

I am very sorry you have had the trouble of writing a second note1 about the proposed sittings for M. de la Rive. I can quite understand how hard it must be for him to find time for such an occupation as sitting for a portrait and if he were not so distinguished a person, and a friend of yours, I should be only too pleased to have that time to give to others, which I should have felt it an honour to devote to him[.]

Ever faithfully yours | Geo Richmond
