Faraday to James Timmins Chance   17 September 1860

RI. | 17, Septr. 1860

My dear Sir

Yet another change. I think we ought to have one Octant adjusted as regards the reflectors altogether by the French regulation i.e Octant No. 3. Notwithstanding the elevation of the lamp, the true comparative effect of the different adjustment will be seen when the lenticular zone is veiled. I send you a copy of a paper1 which I do not call a report because I have no right to send you reports. You will see the part marked in the Margin & the general interest of the whole. Please let me have it again[.]

Ever Truly Yours | M. Faraday
