Faraday to Henry Enfield Roscoe   19 November 1860

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 19 Novr 1860

My dear Roscoe

Newman sent off the needed cells & plates on Saturday Evening1[.] I hope they have arrived safe[.] But the Porters of the goods trains handle things so roughly that I fear.

Anderson saw them packed with tow & thought them safe - the mistake was in putting, the plates & cells into each other2[.]

Many thanks for your kindness in the matter of Bunsens apparatus[.]

Ever Truly Yours | M. Faraday
