[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | Tuesday 11 Decr. 1860
My dear Sir
With respect to the Small’s and my examination of it, my time is becoming very limited1. Can you let me know when you will want me.
I could come next Thursday or Friday2 (13th or 14th) but would have to return the same day.
I could come next Friday leaving London after ½ p. 3 o clk but should have to return on the Saturday[.]
I could come if necessary on Thursday the 20th (in Evening) returning on the next day[.]
After that I could not be with you before the 10th January 1861[.]
Let me know which of these it must be3[.]
I should like very much to see a lens up in your dark chamber & examine where its maximum light would fall as respects the dead horizon[.] To repeat in fact Stevensons Experiment there4. But now that our experiments are finished & that you have sent in your account as the TH desired I have no right to say any thing about it[.]
Ever Yours | M. Faraday
