Faraday to John Leighton   2 February 1861

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 2 Feby 1861

My dear Sir

I have your note & on Monday1 shall be able to learn the general feeling about the matter. I liked your evening at the S.A.2 and a little conversation occurred about it at the time[.] I think it would have suited us then but its delivery & publication in full3 & the alteration in views here make me somewhat doubtful now. I do not speak of my own opinion but of what I guess of the Secretary4 & Committee who have charge of F.E.5

Ever Truly Yours | M. Faraday

John Leighton Esqr | &c &c &c

That is 4 February 1861.
