Faraday to Peter Henry Berthon   12 February 1861

Royal Institution | 12 February 1861

Sir

I have examined by analysis the five examples of red lead namely (as above1 ) the sixth was not in quantity sufficient to suffice for an analysis - I do not find any adulteration or any substance added for the purpose of making weight. They are in that respect unobjectionable2[.]

I am Sir | Your Very Obedient Servant | M. Faraday

P.H. Berthon Esqr | &c &c &c

This referred to Faraday’s notes of the analysis.
