Sarah Faraday to Juliet Pollock1   25 February 18612

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | Albemarle St | 25 Feby

My dear Mrs. Pollock

I confess I am gratified to hear you enjoyed Friday evening so much3. I must say I enjoyed it too, for I had almost been inclined to stay away, my husband seemed so unable for it & I feared it would be a failure, his voice had been so low &c &c &c but he warmed to his subject & has been better ever since. I am afraid I must not have the pleasure you propose for I have been strictly shut in all the winter except in mild fine mornings but Mr. Faraday & Jane would much like to spend an hour or two with you tomorrow, this we have been arranging since Mr Faraday met with Mr Pollock, if it should not suit you they will try to find some day next week but perhaps you will let us know

& believe me very truly yours | S. Faraday
