Trinity-House, London, E.C., | 13th March, 1861.

Sir,

I am directed to forward to you, in original, the accompanying Letter from the Board of Trade,- enclosing Copy of a Report made by Messrs Stevenson to the Commissioners for Northern Light Houses relative to Experiments recently made at Arthur’s Seat near Edinbro’1, and I am to request that you will favor the Elder Brethren with any observations you may have to offer thereon.

I am to add that if perfectly convenient to you the Brethren would be glad to have the Letter and Report with your Observations on Monday next2.
