Sir,

Major Fitz Maurice having after a lapse of many months, re-opened the subject of the proposed exhibition of his Light experimentally in the Lantern at Blackwall, I am directed to forward to you his Letter and to request that, with reference to former correspondence on the subject, you will state for the information of the Elder Brethren, whether you see any practical objection to his being allowed to proceed with the exhibition of his Light in the form now submitted1.-
