Faraday to Margaret Barnard   7 June 1861

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 7 June 1861.

My beloved Margaret

I send you a few references such as give me comfort & encouragement. Do not labour in reading the words referred to but take one or other of the words and ponder on its meaning purpose & the promise contained in. Do not leave it too hastily for another[.] Each of them is an open door to the Mercy which is through Christ. May they be effectual through the power of God to comfort both your heart & mine1[.]
