Faraday to Henry Enfield Roscoe   7 June 1861

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 7 June 1861

My dear Roscoe

Your very kind invitation1 is grateful to my mind & very gratefully received - Mr Fairbairn2 some time since sent me a most kind invitation from Mr. Shuttleworth3 as well as from himself & I have also another invitation. If I come it will only be for three days4 and I am ashamed to disturb my friends hospitable exertions for so short a time[.]

Ever Truly Yours | M. Faraday
