Faraday to Benjamin Vincent   19 June 1861

[Royal Institution embossed letterhead] | 19 June 1861

My dear friend

I write to say we purpose being at home tomorrow, & then hope to hear all. We are pretty well much as if we had been at home except that my wife has had a physician here twice & paid for him which is a novelty. She is pretty well now but very deaf. The weather is very fine but to be here this way is but a dull unsatisfactory manner of spending ones life. You will have heard all about Mr John Barnard1 & Jane & I suppose you will have had my letters one way or another. I long to be at home again[.]

Ever affectionately Yours | M. Faraday

Mr Vincent
