Faraday to James Timmins Chance   7 October 1861

The Green | Hampton Court | 7 Octr. 1861

My dear Sir

I received your report on Saturday1 & at once sent it off to the Trinity House2[.]

I hope Mrs. Chance is with you well & that you are enjoying Bournemouth which however is a place I have never seen[.]

Ever Yours Truly | M. Faraday

The lime light is going in at the S Foreland. It is very good & easy in the lanthorn practice but the gas department has to be well tested. If ever applied - it will want a set of focal adjustments &c altogether different to those of either the oil lamp or the Electric Spark[.]

Again Yours | M. Faraday

That is 5 October 1861.
