I am directed to transmit to you the annexed Extract of a Letter1 received from the Agent for the Beachy-Head Light House relating to the quality of the Drinking Water in use at that Establishment, and to signify the request of the Elder Brethren that you will favor them by making an Analysis of the two Samples of Water referred to in the Agent’s Letter, which are herewith forwarded for that purpose, - and reporting the result to me for their information.-
